Day 1. Lima
Arrive Lima and transfer to hotel .
Day 2. Lima - City Tour and Pachacamac
The visit starts with a tour to Huaca Pucllana, followed by a wonderful tour of the citadel Pachacamac. In the afternoon city tour including the old town (UNESCO - World Heritage) encompassing history elements of the pre-hispanic, colonial and contemporary period.
Day 3. Lima - Paracas
Breakfast. Drive to the South over the Panamericana Route to Paracas. Overnight in Paracas.
Day 4. Paracas - Ballestas Island -Nazca
Excursión by boat to visit the Ballestas Islands. Stop to see the "El Candelabro" a mysterious geolyph on a sand hill. On the Ballestas Islands the visitants can see many species from the marine life: sea wolves, birds, Humboldt penguins and much more. Return to the pier and transfert to Nazca. Overnight in Nazca.
Day 5. Nazca - Overflight - Arequipa
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take a 45 minute overflight over the Nazca lines (UNESCO - World Heritage). Patterns cut into the stony desert thousands of years ago and clearly visible only from the air. After the flight drive to Arequipa (12 hours).
Day 6. Nazca - Arequipa
Arrive Arequipa, transfer to hotel. Arequipa the white city, due to the volcanic silt used in the construction of colonial houses and churches, was founded in 1540 and its the second biggest city in Peru. Guided visit to the historic centre of the city (UNESCO - World Heritage) and to the Convent of Santa Catalina. The convent was closed for visitants for more than 400 years until 1970. Transfer to hotel.
Day 7. Arequipa - Colca
In the morning drive to Colca through Yura to the foothills of Chachani, onto Pampa de Arrieros, National Reserve of Pampa Cañahuas, Viszcachani, and Pampas de Toccra (4 hours). In the afternoon we visit the hot springs of La Calera. At night by your own you will enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 8. Colca - Puno
Breakfast. Depart to the condors cross from where the great Andean bird, the condor, may be seen circling above the still farmed green pre-Columbian terraces. We then continue on to Puno, a trip filled with panoramic and majestic sights. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 9. Puno - Titicaca Lake (Uros Island - Taquile Island) - Puno
Breakfast. Transfer to the pier in Puno for a full day excursion on the Titicaca Lake. The first visit is to the floating islands of the Uros. Experience Uros the ancient tribal man made island made up of dense vegetation called totora (reeds). After 2 hours we arrive at Taquile where the locals live as the ancient Incas lived centuries ago. Lunch at a local restaurant. After this full day excursion return to the hotel.
Day 10. Puno - Cuzco
Drive crossing the Andes experience the south corridor on the way to Cuzco. Stops on Route visiting Andahuaylillas, Raqchi and Pukara. Arrival in Cuzco and transfer to the Hotel.
Day 11. Cuzco
Breakfast. In the afternoon guided tour through the imperial city, visiting the temple of the Sun, the Cathedral, and a walk through the enchanting streets of Cuzco. Transfer to the surroundings ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Puka Pucara, and Tambomachay. Overnight in Cuzco
Day 12. Cuzco - Sacred Valley
Drive to the Sacred Valley of the Incas a natural enchanting place. Visit to indian market of Pisac and afterwards the Inca fortress of Ollantayambo. Includes traditional lunch. Overnight on the Valley.
Day 13. Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cuzco
Transfer to train station to take Vista - Dome Train to Aguas Calientes (4 hours). Guided visit to the ruins of Machu Picchu. Return to Cuzco and transfer to the hotel.
Day 14. Cuzco - Lima
Transfer hotel to airport for flight to Lima.
