SIERRA NEVADA ( SANTA MARTA )
Day 1: Santa Marta – El Mamey – Finca Adan
Early in morning 3 1/2 hours drive to El Mamey.From this point starts the trek until reaching the first campsite (Finca Adan) after 3 hours. Overnight in hammocks.
Day 2: Finca Adán – Gabriel
6:30 a.m. Breakfast and afterwards continuation of the trek through the valley of the Buritaca River to the indigenous-town Mutanshi. The trek continues for 4 more hours until the second campsite. Overnight in hammocks.
Day 3: Gabriel – Lost City
6.30 a.m. Breakfast and start of the 6 hours hike passing several indigenous settlements and climbing the stone steps in direction to the Lost City. Camp near the citadelle and overnight in hammocks.
Day 4: Lost City
Breakfast and visit of the Lost City learning about the Tayrona culture and traditions. Taking a bath in the Youth Spring is always a refreshing option. Overnight in hammocks.
Day 5: Lost City – Finca Adan
Depart after breakfast to Adan, the first campsite on the way back. Arrival during the afternoon. Overnight in hammocks.
Day 6: Finca Adan – Santa Marta
Breakfast. 3 hours walking until reaching El Mamey and transport by jeep until Santa Marta.
